I checked the math in an Economic Impact of I-73 in South Carolina "study" Chmura did, and found that her prediction of 18,856 jobs resulting from increased tourism due to travel time savings, was off by more than an order of magnitude.

She used travel time savings that were 3 to 4 times what the Federal Environmental Impact study estimated, then applied those numbers to all of the annual tourists visiting Myrtle Beach, rather than just those who might actually use I-73. The realistic number of tourism-related jobs that might be created by I-73 could not exceed 1,305, compared to Chmura's 18,853.
