To the Reader

On the hottest day of the summer last year, we celebrated the launch of Belle, our new magazine for women. We were thrilled with the response from readers -- a wide array of success-minded women who want to get the most out of life in Richmond.

We've maintained our pledge from the beginning: to offer 100-percent local content. To find the common threads that unify readers. To help them feel connected to the larger community. To highlight culture across the city.

Thank you to our readers, advertisers and contributors for your support.

Because of you, we celebrate the August/September issue of Belle, our one-year anniversary issue. We're also celebrating another milestone. In an effort to make more issues available at locations around town, we're spinning off the magazine.

Instead of being inserted into an issue of Style, we're turning Belle into a free-standing publication. We hope this will make it easier for readers who may miss that week's issue of Style to find a copy of Belle. Our distribution locations are varied and growing. To see where you can pick up the new issue, turn to page 26. And keep an eye out for our bright, blue boxes.
