To the Reader: Richmonder of the Year

It’s the time of the year for reflection, when we start stepping back from the trees to look at the forest.

Looking at it through a unique lens, photojournalist Scott Elmquist has been putting together some of the year’s most compelling images for our Photos of the Year Issue. And in a few week’s we’ll share some of the ups, downs and quirks of Richmond in 2014 for our annual Score Issue.

We’re working to pinpoint the significant discussions, turning points and captivating moments of 2014 — and who was at the heart of those changes. Because in six weeks Style’s editorial team will name its 30th Richmonder of the Year.

We’d love to hear what you think about the year. What stands out? Who taught us a lesson? Where is Richmond headed because of where it’s been? Please share your perspective. Let us know by email at letters@styleweekly.com.
