To the Reader: New Faces at Style 

Tina Griego joins Style Weekly as news editor, joining Arts & Culture Editor Brent Baldwin and Food & Drink Editor Deveron Timberlake as one of three section editors who oversee editorial content.

Griego arrives from Denver, where she spent 12 years as a city columnist for the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News. She's also reported for the Los Angeles Herald-Examiner, the L.A. Times and the Albuquerque Tribune. Her work won the 2011 Tobenkin Award from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. And in 2006 the National Association of Hispanic Journalists named her print journalist of the year. She can be reached by email at tina.griego@styleweekly.com.

Also joining the editorial team as calendar editor is Chris Bopst, who comes to Style from the Richmond Times-Dispatch, where he served as music columnist. A well-known musician, Chris is a founding member of Gwar, and has recorded albums and toured internationally with groups such as the Alter Natives, Holy Rollers and Mao Tse Helen.
