Re: “Street Cred: With the Eyes of the World Upon Us, Has Richmond Finally Achieved Bike-Town Status?

"...And there are plenty of stark reminders, some tragic, that riders and cyclists aren’t yet co-existing in a perfect world. Earthier this month, a 26-year-old cyclist, Caroline “Carrie” Dawn Wortham, died after being struck by a vehicle in Hanover County..."...In my opinion, this paragraph is grossly misleading... I'd recommend to anyone interested to learn just how severe the animosity between some RVA drivers and bike riders currently is would be to read through the reader comments section that accompanied the RTD's coverage of Carrie Wortham's death in early September...

Re: “Alpha Natural Resources Bankruptcy Reveals Damning Documents

Mr. Bacon: I'm a little confused. When your Number 1 choice for local business news, RichmondBizSense, covers a company's or a millionaire's bankruptcy cases or other legal issue, the editors often quote from court documents, like Mr. Galuska is doing in his article about Alpha Natural Resources... Does that make RichmondBizSense "anti-capitalist ," or guilty of publishing "anti-American hate-filled rants"?...

Re: “Alpha Natural Resources Bankruptcy Reveals Damning Documents

Mr. James Jones: For the benefit of the rest of us, can you post ASAP a link to the "slanted, agenda-driven activist blog somewhere else on the Internet" from which Mr. Galuszka allegedly plagarized?... Also, per your preference for weekly editions of "Grid," have you seen the striking coincidence between the large number of "feel good" stories published there and the very same companies that seem to purchase advertisements in the same editions?...(Every time I pick one up, I have to wonder if there's some information about those companies I'll never be able to read in 'Grid.'...How about you?)

Re: “The Race to Watch

Aside from 2-3 dropped words, I enjoyed this story...But I wish this sentence late in the story had some supporting evidence or elucidating argument by author Galuska, especially in light of Virginia's open primary rules: "As is typically the case, the 10th District primary may be decided by voter turnout. A big turnout favors Francis while a small one helps Gecker."

Re: “Terry McAuliffe: Virginia's Biggest Pitchman

Peter -

Saw this graph in your story and was confused: "McAuliffe is also trying to make use of the Fairfax office complex that housed the headquarters of ExxonMobil before it split for Houston in 2012."

How is Governor Terry "trying to make use" of the very same property that Inova Fairfax Hospital just purchased from Exxon-Mobil for $180 million to house it's new genomic health institute?

Re: “The Trail to Rancho T

While the first part of this story read so much like the usual Valentine 'Style Weekly' sends to the restaurants it one day hopes will advertise regularly in its pages and on its website, the last few graphs of awkward, pointless dialogue reminded me of something I got a good laugh about the other night while watching a 'Seinfeld' rerun: It was the episode when George and Jerry were pitching their pilot to NBC executives for a sitcom about "...nothing.".. Thanks!
