Three Festivals on Saturday, Sept. 14

The 17th annual Richmond Veg Fest at Byrd Park
It’s a new location for one of the tastiest, healthiest food events of the year. It includes live music, food, speakers, nonprofits, cooking demos and general fun. Hopefully the lines aren’t too bad — we want to try it all! Noon to 6 p.m. Food prices vary. veggiefest.org.

Three Chopt Festival featuring the Richmond Symphony at Bandy Field Nature Park
The symphony breaks out the glorious Big Tent in the West End. There will be food trucks, beer, vendors and a kids’ zone all to benefit music and arts education in the Richmond Public Schools. Visit the website for a list of performers and times. 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Free. richmondsymphony.com.

43rd Street Festival of the Arts at 43rd Street Gallery
The 28th annual rendition of this street art fest is a juried neighborhood festival with local and regional artisans to benefit Caritas, a nonprofit helping the homeless and addicted. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free. 43rdstgallery.com.
