The Writer's Den Collective, is an art based community empowerment and advocacy organization. We also facilitate a lively weekly event at Brewer's Cafe for all artists to share in a safe and healthy environment. Our open mic is open to all types of performance art (poetry, comedy, dance, rap, singing, etc.) and features music from one of the best DJs in RVA. Most weeks are an open mic with a featured act but our FIRST Fridays is reserved for our world renowned poetry slam where spokenword artists compete for cash prizes and more!
