The featured work will be British composer Gerald Finzi’s “Requiem da Camera,” with baritone soloist Ian Richardson and organist Chris Martin. Finzi composed the piece in memory of his music teacher, Ernst Farrar, who died during the war. Finzi also lost three brothers in the war.
The program also will include music from the 16th through 21st centuries, including “La Guerre” by Clement Janequin, “Flanders Field” by Paul Aitken and “Let Peace Then Still the Strife” by Mack Wilberg.
Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $10 per person, payable by cash or check at the door. .
