The Virginia Commonwealth University opera and symphony present two comic one-act operas. "The Old Maid and the Thief", a comic tale of deception, thievery and mistaken identity. "Amelia Goes to the Ball," tells the story of a young Italian socialite as she overcomes an overeager lover and a jealous husband to attend the first ball of the season.
