Swirling, Sniffing and Sipping the Wine World’s Foundational Varietals
Led by one of Virginia’s premier wine experts, Jessica Chivers-Wilson of Boxwood Estate Winery, we will explore exemplars of these foundational varietals (Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot), compare Old and New World examples, and cover the basics of how to taste and talk about wine.
Each Open Social Tasting is held at a unique venue in or around the chapter’s city and represents an occasion to get together with friends, learn more about wine from an expert in the industry, and taste a curated lineup of wines.
