The Lost Art of Pen and Paper

I enjoyed “Holiday Missives” (News & Features, Jan. 7), and I thought readers may be interested in a Christmas card feature that we recently posted on the Virginia Historical Society's Web page. We have a segment called Take a Closer Look that highlights hidden treasures in the collection, and last month we featured examples of Christmas cards from the archives.

To view, go to our home page, www.vahistorical.org and click on Take a Closer Look. There is a link at the bottom of the page to past features, including the one on Christmas cards. You are right that these are a disappearing form of communication.
