The Infamous Stringdusters at Friday Cheers

Friday, June 28, at 6:30 p.m.

Balancing old-time bluegrass with modern indie rock, the Infamous Stringdusters have quickly made a name for themselves. The group released its first album, “Fork in the Road,” in early 2007, which resulted in three awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association later that year. Numerous releases followed, including the popular “Things That Fly,” which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Bluegrass chart in 2010, and a live album fittingly entitled “We’ll Do It Live.” The group released its latest effort, “Silver Sky,” in 2012. The Infamous Stringdusters perform on Brown’s Island on Friday, June 28, at 6:30 p.m. $10. venturerichmond.com.
