When it comes to pop punk, it doesn’t get much better than Southern California’s the Descendents, in particular their debut, “Milo Goes to College” from 1982. Mixing speedy hardcore with melodic hooks and snotty vocals, the album is a classic of punk heartbreak that influenced generations of musicians, including a lot of terrible bands. Now that lead singer Milo Aukerman has been laid off from Dupont, the band is back at it with new music. Kansas City rockers Radkey and Richmond’s own Long Arms open. 7:30 p.m. All ages. $27.50 to $33. thenationalva.com.
