After stuffing your stomach on Thanksgiving, get heaping earfuls of here-and-now hip-hop at Thanksgathering IV on Saturday, Nov. 29, at Strange Matter. Presented by Hard 2 Kill Records and Viral Anarchy, the buffet of beats features the regional rhymes and rhythms of the Real Chaos, Toxsick Boom, the Sandman, 2000Cooley, D-Evil and many others for the fourth annual showcase of up-and-coming talent. All the acts are rooted in LL Cool J egocentric party ascetics with swaggering boasts and gasconading proclamations coming fast and furious to get their respective parties started. The insistent symphonic thumper, “I Just Want” by Richmond rapper Da Sik-1 is indicative of the carousal of id that will be served in abundance during the festival.
