Re: “Deejay Gray, 25

What nasty vindictiveness this is but I suppose that comes with the territory of jealousy. I am now friends with Deejay, but my first interaction with him was professional and he was exactly that. Yes, there comes a certain level of personal responsibility when running a theatre company, but unless someone is actively hurting others (such as yourself), using or taking advantage of others, who are you to project your moral compass onto someone else? I never know Deejay to be like this. What he chooses to do in his personal life, along with his Facebook account, is between him and friends. His generosity of spirit as both a person and artist is pretty evident to anyone who takes the time to look. He has courageously created meaningful and relevant work, with a strong attention to detail, and opened up to artists who are not in the inner circle and embraced many of those that are. Since when does he have to answer to anyone's puritanical close-minded projections? I would suggest that what you don't "morally" and generally like in someone else is something you're not at peace with or like about yourself and should direct your energy in that direction. Deejay has my total support, I wish him nothing but the best and the awareness that this simply comes with the territory of putting himself out there and being a creative leader in the community.
