There’s no greater champion of the local music scene than Sarah Moore Lindsey. For the last three years her blog, Sounds of RVA, has been my go-to source for checking out the latest in Richmond music making. This tireless cheerleader of endemic talents celebrates her third anniversary as one of city’s most ardent music advocates on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Camel. The night features performances by austere post punkers Canary Oh Canary, the sinister looping synths of Negative Gemini and straight-up rockers of Imaginary Sons. It’s a show that embodies Lindsey’s land-without-fences appreciation of the city’s indigenous melody makers. If you go, and you should if you want to hear three of best bands playing in Richmond today, be sure to tell her to keep up the good work. She makes music appreciation easy for the rest of us. The show starts at 9 p.m. $5. thecamel.org.
