Solving the Puzzle of Chesterfield’s Past through Archaeology

When: Sat., Jan. 27, 11 a.m. 2018
The Chesterfield Historical Society of Virginia and Chesterfield Department of Parks and Recreation will present a family-friendly program at the County Museum on Saturday, January 27, at 11a.m. Discover how we learn about life in early 19th century Chesterfield with historical interpreter Bill Doerken. Explore the work of an archaeologist and practice using the (hands-on) methods and tools. This will involve digging for artifacts, evaluating them, and then solving the puzzle of “mending” pottery sherds! This free program is suggested for ages 6 and over.
