Sonny Moore has been producing electronic music under the name Skrillex only since 2008, but he’s had his hands in various other arenas for years. The former frontman for the post-hardcore band From First to Last released his debut EP, “My Name Is Skrillex” as a free download, which caught the eyes of numerous outlets, and a nationwide tour with Deadmau5 soon followed, gaining Skrillex even more of a devoted following. On a headlining tour in support of his newest release, “More Monsters and Sprites,” Skrillex performs at the National on Friday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. $25. 612-1900.
