Re: “"i.i.i.i.i.e.e.e.e.e.*******!!!!!!"

I'm sorry you feel this way about i.e. As a presenter and a participant, I found it to be a top-flight event with a true and honest desire to shift the paradigm about Richmond. Part of that involves creating a vision, and a vision isn't usually based on what IS - it's based on what you think SHOULD BE. The Chamber of Commerce, Andy Stefanovich, c3, and other innovative thinkers are choosing to envision a Richmond without such cynicism and negativity as is expressed in your article. Of course there are things Richmond lacks - that's true of all cities - but sitting back and bemoaning the negative will never create the positive. I am excited by i.e. and look forward to the great work to come!

By the way, the girl whose favorite color is teal is a 15-year-old high school rising sophomore who already has six patents to her name and has been doing serious scientific research for three years already. It is always possible to skew the facts to fit ones perspective. Perhaps it would be more helpful to Richmond to choose a positive perspective.
