Though I have never met you, obviously we did not get off to the right start. And to that I am truly apologetic. I'm sorry I did not welcome you into my house correctly or live up to your very high standards.

I am the bar manager at Grandstaff and Stein. I am also a woman, whose protective instincts go into effect when my "child" this restaurant is being negatively presented:

I'm sorry that your palette was not pleased by our food. Everyone has their own idea of greatness, I guess... Maybe yours was just not what WE were looking for. I work about 80 hours a week in Grandstaff, and I am also one of the youngest female bar managers in the city. With that being said:

Each day, I spend about 3/5 hours working on different things to make our restaurant and the experience my guests receive that much more important than the other places you have reviewed, to which I can attest, have been subpar/ that you have claimed amazing.

Yes, before I speak I typically do my research. Also, before I pencil whip, I think of how my character will be presented. Food for thought?

My general manager works even harder than I, and at a young age himself delievers quality assurance to each guest. I have been reviewed in yelp as a great mixologist, and humbled by blog postings on our service and how accommodating we are to this city. My management team is comprised of great individuals with a great direction. And for that I stand up to write this post.

It appears to me that your taste is very wolf gang puck 1996. Just like acid washed died then, so have the plating styles and food that you seem to like. The great thing about reviews like this is not only do they drive me to continue my creative streak, they drive to me rise above these reviews and completely annilate them. mother raised me that if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all. I would more than graciously welcome you back into my house, invite you over for dinner. Come back and sit at my bar and let's meet again. We have a great new kitchen staff, and a great menu coming out this fall. Please be our guest. I know if you can not make it your friends will. Because if you haven't heard, we are the best new restaurant in the bottom. :)
