It may be a low-skill job but it’s not as if they’re asking to be paid to lay on the couch and watch TV all day. They ARE working – plus, how many jobs require that you put up with a customer ripping you a new asshole because they didn’t get ketchup on their cheeseburger?

Sadly, I don’t think CEOs are going to take any salary cuts and I don’t think shareholders are going to accept lower dividends to ensure workers get paid a living wage. I am willing to pay more for the products – so maybe that dollar-menu will have to become the two-dollar-menu. Or how about a tip jar?
