Want a new way to bid farewell to the year? The RVA New Year’s Eve 2015 promises an epic sendoff Wednesday, Dec. 31, on Brown’s Island. This imaginative soiree will feature a one-of-a-kind ball rise and drop made possible by a dazzling mobile hydraulic system with multiple high-definition screens. Plus, expect five beer trucks, 12 food trucks with a bounty of culinary options and two stages of entertainment from DJ Doodie, the Party Liberation Front, Mass FX and others. Did I mention infamous party starter and master of ceremonies Parker S. Galore VIII and the fire and circus performances? The inaugural event is organized by Hayden Fisher, R. Anthony Harris, Jon Sachs and Jimmy Budd. Along for the countdown are hosts Melissa Chase and Style columnist Jack Lauterback of 103.7 Play. The festivities commence at 7 p.m. Free, with multiple pricing options to upgrade your experience. rvanye.co.
