PAIRS connects musical traditions from different genres. Dive headlong into a new world of music making with Classical Rev and Richmond’s fabulous Keroncong band, Rumput! Classical Revolution RVA opens with a short set of music inspired by Renaissance Portugal. Rumput presents an alluring tapestry of authentic modern Keroncong. This musical genre developed over hundreds of years in Indonesia, beginning with the arrival by sea of classical instruments and harmony in the 16th century. Free admission, presented as part of Classical Revolution RVA’s 7th Birthday Week. We are raising funds to provide paid performance opportunities to musicians.
