Who knew that, about 230 years after my ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War, there would be components of our representative government that insist on creating subsidies and windfalls for enterprise [this never occurred back then and didn't truly grab hold of our country's throat until the railroads came South during Reconstruction] over public projects?

Any government where corporate interests compete with and/or supersede the interest of individuals, per the Enlightenment, is no longer a democratic government but is a corporatocracy.
