Just remember, cars don't kill people, people kill people, it's just easier to do it when you're in a car.

I won't listen for one second to a motorist complaining about my movement patterns or my riding style, because for one, I do what I do based on years of experience negotiating my own personal space with motor vehicles, two, it's hypocritical considering how terrible the American motorist death toll is each year, high-ways or otherwise: you guys just can't stop killing each other, and three, I'm a free, self-aware person who doesn't need a friggin stop light to tell me if an intersection is safe to cross or not. I can friggin see with my own eyes. I can hear that with my ears. To a large extent, you can't say that while in a car, and there's the difference, but it's not my problem, so cry to someone else or ditch the car (if you can) and find out what you're missing.
