Celebrate the amazing kaleidoscope of American music with the sizzling rhythms of “West Side Story” and the lush seascape sounds of “Poseidon and Amphitrite.” Let “Adagio for Strings” carry you to glorious heights, then get down and get funky with “Concerto for Tuba and Orchestra” performed by tuba virtuoso Patrick Sheridan, for whom the piece was written. The American Inspirations concert takes place on Sunday, May 13 at 4 p.m. at Henrico High School’s Center for the Arts, 302 Azalea Avenue. Adults are $8 in advance, $10 at the door.
