Remembering World War II: Rosie the Riveter

When: Sun., April 7, 2-3:30 p.m. 2019
Price: Free.
Join the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of World War II each month. The manpower needed to fight necessitated a breakdown of traditional family structure and gendered roles, which had immediate and far-reaching consequences. From working on aircraft and ships in Hampton Roads to clerical work at the state level, women helped run the war machine from the home front.
