Radio Wilder 

The "Wild Thing" is back.

Mayor L. Douglas Wilder will return to the airwaves for a one-day stint Aug. 23. Wilder, who had his own talk show on WRVA 1140-AM in the mid-1990s, will fill in for a vacationing Jimmy Barrett 6-9 a.m. Thursday.

"When we first had the idea of doing a celebrity show, Doug Wilder was pretty much the first name that came up," says Trey Yeatts, executive producer for "Richmond's Morning News."

"Of all the guests we had, we know we're in for a pretty good ride when he's on the show," Yeatts says. S
