Radio Wilder 

The "Wild Thing" is back.

Mayor L. Douglas Wilder will return to the airwaves for a one-day stint Aug. 23. Wilder, who had his own talk show on WRVA 1140-AM in the mid-1990s, will fill in for a vacationing Jimmy Barrett 6-9 a.m. Thursday.

"When we first had the idea of doing a celebrity show, Doug Wilder was pretty much the first name that came up," says Trey Yeatts, executive producer for "Richmond's Morning News."
