Quirk Trunk Show: Meghan Patrice Riley

We’re happy to announce we’ll be hosting a one-day-only trunk show with Brooklyn, NY based artist, Meghan Patrice Riley on Thurs, December 12th. Meghan Patrice Riley creates handmade sculptural jewelry that is engineered for wearability, durability and travel using hypoallergenic materials. While handfabricating each piece, MPR finds inspiration in interpreting materials and creating new connection techniques. Her collections balance industrial materials and engineering with femininity. Geometric shapes offer a simple foundation for her multi-dimensional forms, which each link to create light web-like structures of precious metals and metal cabling. MPR began her jewelry practice on the coast of California. While originally working in community economic development, she studied metalsmithing and design at a local community college in San Francisco to explore her creative side and fell in love. She started participating in local retail shows and working with museums like SFMoMA and the Seattle Art Museum to create jewelry collections for their boutiques. From there, she grew her collections into a full brand in Brooklyn. She now has representation by galleries and boutiques internationally, and has held solo shows in galleries nationally. She has also been awarded the prestigious Raphael Founder Prize for innovation in small metals. Additionally, she was featured in NYC and Chengdu runway shows which resulted in the semi-finalist position for the Ecco Domani Fashion Fund and the FIT Design Entrepreneur Program. Come by on Thursday, December 12th from 9 am - 5 pm to shop Meghan’s work and meet the artist!
