For one day, on Saturday, May 3, Richmond’s canal walk from Brown’s Island to 14th Street will be transformed into Mexico City’s world-famous and explosively colorful floating gardens of Xochimilco. Why not? It’s ¿Qué Pasa?, Virginia’s annual Cinco de Mayo Festival. From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. enjoy Latin-flavored food, arts and crafts and performances by Ban Caribe, the Latin Ballet of Virginia and other groups. quepasafestival.com
