A screening at the Byrd returns to the rich history of the Washington punk and hardcore scene from 1976 to 1983, which already has inspired a number of books and docs. A documentary and archival project, “Punk the Capital: Building a Sound Movement” also includes a Q&A with Dan Palenski, the drummer from the Slickee Boys, as well as the filmmakers. 7 p.m. $8. byrdtheatre.org.
