Tick tock, it’s time to celebrate Eddie Allan Poe’s 210th birthday with a day of music, performance, tours and birthday cake. Be there to celebrate the master of the macabre who was orphaned and raised in Richmond by John and Frances Allan before attending University of Virginia and living a fairly short, broke and miserable life — with most of his fame coming posthumously. Runs from noon to midnight, when there will be a toast to Poe in the shrine. poemuseum.org.
