What's a hoedown without a good bluegrass band? St. Joseph's Villa welcomes veterans of the concert and bluegrass circuit The Lonesome River Band to its annual benefit Friday, May 9, at 7 p.m. The band has seen many lineup changes over the years, but that hasn't stopped the flow of good music. Sammy Shelor, who joined in 1990, now leads the group and has been voted Banjo Player of the Year four times by the International Bluegrass Music Association. Being lonesome has never sounded so good. $75. 200-1617.
