Re: “Richmond Residents Revolt at Bike Meeting

Elwood, instead of yelling at meetings, why not act mature and request traffic calming measures for the streets that are expected to take on the brunt of the "Floyd overflow"? And don't pretend to know how much traffic is actually being diverted. It is clear there will still be traffic on Floyd...just not running stop signs as easily as before (and yes, I roll through them too).

I just can't get over the selfishness taking precedence over safety for the thousands who bike daily through your neighborhood.

Re: “No Offense: RVA's New Murals Safe by Design

Barry, I spent several years combatting graffiti in the same places that these works of art are going up. I do not view them as graffiti, in fact, they are covering walls that would generally end up with graf.

As one of our local artists said in a recent Style article, he is flattered even when someone dislikes his art, as long as he got them to 'stop and think' about it. I have not one artistic bone in my body, so I 'be learned to appreciate others' artistic views and talents...even if I don't understand or care for it.
