Other Mayoral Option?

After reading your article "Uncontested" I was truly disturbed. Mayor Dwight Jones will get a second term in office without having to answer for all that he has not done for this city. If you look carefully at his record of "achievements," you will find that he has done well in pockets of the city (South Side, Downtown, VCU) that are of interest to his constituents.

Meanwhile the rest of the city (North Side, Church Hill) have been ignored by his administration. Yet no one has stepped up to make him answer for his inequities. It's rumored that no one wants to run against him because of the "Obama Factor," which assures him of the heavy turnout of African-American voters turning out for the presidential election.

I find it appalling that no one has the fortitude to challenge him. I am not a politician, but I'm asking all of my fellow constituents on the North Side and throughout the city not to vote for him. Just leave the slot by his name blank. Show him by not voting for him that we don't support him as he has not supported us. Leave it blank!
