Tired of traditional New Year’s Eve celebrations? For an immersive experience marrying interactive art, live music, fire performance, multiple DJs — including a silent disco set — libation stations and stage performances, Decemberween 12’s costume ball is guaranteed to challenge your attention span. For the uninitiated, Decemberween is Halloween celebrated in December and takes place at the massive 10,000 square foot Diversity Richmond. Put on by the Party Liberation Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to nurturing Richmond’s creative community, the party to end all parties encourages — but doesn’t require — costumes, but if you do, the more outrageous, the better. Consider a disco nap beforehand — fun begins at 8 and while drinking ends at 2, dancing goes till 4 a.m. Cost is $30. 1407 Sherwood Ave. plfrva.com.
