Re: “Are Politics Threatening an Open Educational Environment in Hanover?

As a 2006 Atlee/Hanover alumni, this news is extremely disappointing. Hanover County Public Schools were on the top of their game only a few years ago. Heck my parents moved to the county just so my sister and I could get our educations here. Now I see on social media that many of the best and brightest of my old teachers dread their work, some already driven from it. The county is turning into some tea-party facist fever dream, brought to you by the same folks who, in the name of "supporting small businesses," are zoning the county into one big contiguous strip mall/housing development with nothing in the way of added infrastructure. It's time to stop listening to the people with the yellow signs. It's clear that their interests are their own bottom line, not yours or your children's.
