I know that if the city council and school board had listened and done as Wilder had said to do about closing schools and building the new ones during his term Richmond Public Schools would be in far better shape than they are now. During that time period teachers that would have needed to find a new job could have done so with ease as all of the localities were still looking for new teachers and nobody was making cuts. But now look at the mess of RPS. If he didn't come off as such an arrogant prick he might have been able to do for the students of RPS what nobody in the city council, school board, or mayors office has every done. Put the students first!
