Re: “Poetic Injustice

Hello John Smith,
My collection of booklets of Poems and Prose authored by James Patrick (Rik) Davis is priceless. Personally, I treasure my collection of his underground poems that include illustrations created by celebrated Richmond artists.
I have no idea what these booklets would bring, but enjoy reading them from time to time.
I plan donating a collection of Rik's booklets to Virginia Commonwealth University's Library and giving extra copies to my friends who knew Rik that request them from me.
But John,
Perhaps selling your collection using free advertisements through Style and of our local community papers after getting evaluations made by one of our many Virginia's auction house professionals. Auctioneers with years of experience can reliably estimate values of collections created by our various celebrated Virginia artists and authors.
Certainly booklets of Poems & Prose written by Rik that include illustrations by known Richmond artist's such as Richard Bland should bring you the best premium prices.

Re: “Poetic Injustice

Excellent reporting about a true Village character. One of many artists and beatniks who Graced the old Village.
The now missing generation of Rik Davis, Lester Blackiston, David Fridley, Burt Peters, Susan Jones, Dr Bill Jones who gifted a legacy to the new Village artists.
Some of the saddest few days of my life.
The photo of Rik Davis and Susan Frayger mistakenly attributed to be at a 1981 Fan party was actually taken at Mike and Susan Wood's wedding reception at The Lodge of The Fisherman in Lynchburg on October 27,1979.
