St. James's choirs accompanied by members of the Richmond Symphony will hold a biannual memorial concert honoring military veterans at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, during Memorial Day weekend with Requiem by Johannes Brahms. The concert is given in remembrance of those who have died in military service and in thanksgiving for those among us who have served or are serving in our nation’s armed forces. A rose will be presented to each veteran present. Participants will sing “America the Beautiful," Eternal Father, Strong to Save and “God of our Fathers." An offering will be taken to benefit nonprofits that serve veterans. A reception will follow in the church’s Valentine Hall.
