Macbeth3 is a one-hour whirlwind play based on Shakespeare’s Tragedy of Macbeth that follows the bloody rise and fall of a Scottish noble in a thrilling tale of passion and betrayal—charged with the supernatural. Macbeth3 was originally created by acclaimed theatre artist Lisa Wolpe and has been critically hailed for its use of non-traditional, gender-bent casting and its powerful reimagination of a complex plot filled with ambition, greed, and murder. Shakespeare’s characters challenge viewers about their conscience, courage or lack there of—resulting in complicated explorations of murder and consequence.
