Re: “Transfer Hell

Excited by the idea, I took the bus in and out of the city to pass through the transfer plaza. I, too, found it to be underwhelming and depressing.

Regardless of class, how can one hold pride in such a plaza that has been so successful throughout the world when no amenities or services are made available to users? There isn't an ounce of ambiance.

Thanks for the article. We live in an amazing city that should definitely be shamed for this facility.

Re: “Teachers Blast Unruly Students at New School

You are correct. It is sad. I learned so much during my first year of teaching! I didn't want my students to be behind in my subject area. I went to great lengths to master the content and continued to do so every year.

I was at an urban school in NC, but it was ten times more organized than RPS. I was capable of doing so much more that I had been able to do while I worked for the city schools. And people came to work happy. That's hard to find in RPS. It needs change - and fast!

Re: “Kicking the Can

Just an FYI, A group of citizens from Church Hill have started a bicycling club at Armstrong, which is comprised of mostly female students at the school.
