Details from the past can help you more fully imagine your characters and their world in any time period. participants will read work from writers including Geraldine Brooks and Donald McCaig and see how they enhance scenes with details. Using materials from the Library of Virginia, participants also will brainstorm about fun and creative ways to do historical research for their writing projects.
