Letter: Capitalism’s Place in Richmond

Mo Karn's Back Page viewpoint was interesting. Has the criminalization of drug-selling hurt Richmond? Have public officials too often been hypocrites? Yes to both. But when Karn offers the statement that she wants to "see a world free of police and prisons and capitalism," it seems a bit much. I am OK with police catching thieves, rapists and murderers — and as for capitalism, who paid for the ads that provided a Back Page for Karn to write on?
