JJ Grey & Mofro at Canal Club

JJ Grey & Mofro set classic blues rock on the table like Southern supper on a Sunday night. With servings of psychedelic soul and funk, Grey's new album “Orange Blossoms” further incorporates noted influences such as Sly and the Family Stone while emphasizing R&B elements with an established blues vibe. Known for its harmonica jam-band sessions and intimate piano pieces, the band will perform at the Canal Club Wednesday, Oct. 29, with Hill Country Revue at 8:15 p.m. $16-$18. 643-2582.
