J. Roddy Walston and the Business at Broadberry

Friday and Saturday, Nov. 23-24

Originally from Cleveland, Tennessee, and now based in Richmond, rockers J. Roddy and the Business made their national name with explosive, piano-driven live shows — and they’ve played some big ones from Bonnaroo to “Austin City Limits.” The last album “Destroyers of the Soft Life” lyrically ventures into more honest personal territory as Walston ponders what the hell is wrong with our instant gratification culture. First-night openers are Piranha Rama, second night it’s Illiterate Light from Harrisonburg. $30-$35. Both nights start at 8 p.m. thebroadberry.com.
