Re: “Richmond Embezzler Offers Peek Behind Bars

Unfortunately, Mr. Oliver must have felt slighted when Andy turned down his interview request. As a result he published this piece. Had this been a true overview of Andy's experience this writer would have written about the many positive aspects of Andy's routine. Andy leads classes on the inside, he participates in educational programming, he mentors others, and more. But most journalists and their ilk who write about people in prison take this approach. Mr. Oliver is no different than most. He needs readers, I suppose. Too bad the people who wish harm for Andy, like the gentlemen who suggested public flogging, or others that criticize his efforts, don't embrace the mantra that we can all become better than a bad decision of our past. Justin Paperny, author of Lessons From Prison and Ethics in Motion.
