In the Role of Fester

Boo Who?

1. How long did your bag of candy last before every piece was either gobbled or petrified?
I was an expert at collecting large quantities of candy. ... Being the oldest in a family of seven, that candy didn't make it to Christmas. I would proudly display this bag from the post of my side of the bed and entertain friends with candy that first week or two, and then I would notice that the candy supply would start to dramatically diminish. My suspicion? 1. My brothers and sisters. 2. My dad or 3. My mom would get sick of finding candy wrappers everywhere and quicken the end of the bag by taking a handful here and there and throwing it away.

2. Did you ever actually eat the Bit-O-Honey?
Bit-O-Honey, Squirrel Nut Zippers and Mary Janes were not my favorite candy.

3. What was your greatest achievement in Halloween costumes?
When I was 8 years old, my mom, who is an artist, talked me into allowing her to make up my face like one of those hobo clown paintings that were popular in the '60s. She said my expressive eyes would make the character work. There was this Halloween contest that year at a movie theater and everybody was entering it. But my friends were all dressed up as go-go girls, robots, witches, regular clowns, but no hobo clowns. And as we walked to the theater they made fun of me. ... Well, we got to the theater and were ushered onto the stage in two rows. There were a ton of kids, and we were pushing and shoving but we got to the stage and in front of the judges which were the brass on the military base in Pattonsville, Germany, and they all pointed to me! The emcee raised my arm, and I was so surprised!

4. Which Halloween costume of yours is potential blackmail material?
Crazy China doll.

5. What scares you to your core?
I do not like snakes! The make my hair stand up on end!

6. If you could have a super power, what would it be?
Time-traveling.

7. If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be?
Mother Theresa.

8. Who is the scariest person you've ever met?
Hunter Thompson. I was a student hostess for VCU and Mr. Thompson was one of our guest speakers. He accused me of stealing his wallet and he would bark at me.

9. Who's the coolest: Dracula, Frankenstein or the Wolfman?
Dracula.

10. Have you ever had a paranormal experience?
No. I've been spooked, but nothing unusual.
