It’s a full day of family-friendly tunes and food benefiting the Church Hill Association, organized by Style Weekly. Enjoy barbecue from the likes of Alamo, Buzz and Ned’s, Inner City Blues and Jadean’s Smokin’ Six-0, plus sweet treats from King of Pops. There’s music all day including the original folk goodness of Colin and Caroline, Neil Diamond tribute act Diamond Heist, cover band the Hit List, Rolling Stones tribute Mother’s Little Helper and closing things out with the popular Allman Brothers tribute band, Skydog. That’s a lot of tributes, people. Free, but bring ID if you’re drinking beer. Lawn chairs and blankets also encouraged. Noon to 8 p.m. hogtober.com.
