Henrico Prosecutor's Son Charged

After party, he faces felony assault, alcohol charges.

The son of Henrico Commonwealth's Attorney Wade Kizer faces a third-degree felony malicious wounding charge after an alcohol-fueled fight that sent another young partygoer to a local hospital.

Various Henrico officials confirm that the son, Samuel Raines Kizer, also was charged with misdemeanor alcohol possession. A Henrico Police officer arrested him the night of Sunday, July 26. A message left with Kizer's office wasn't returned by press time, and the son's age could not be verified, although he is an adult.

Henrico Police arrested Kizer and various other partygoers after responding to a 9:33 p.m. call for service on Gardenia Lane in the county's west end on Sunday, says Henrico Police spokesman Lt. Mark Banks. Samuel Kizer remained in custody as of press time Monday afternoon. He was arraigned on both charges on Monday in Henrico County.
